One of the many reports we were asked to submit to the stake in conjunction with our ward conference earlier this month was a "ward history." Apparently, preparing this history is the responsibility of the ward clerk. The previous post--the first one on this brand new blog--is what I came up with, the history of the Inwood 3rd Ward for 2008.
The final product isn't terrible, but when you read it it feels, well, sort of bland, wouldn't you say? The main reason for its lack of flavor, I think, is that I prepared it without any references or source material, and it ended up being very general in nature.
I hope this blog will help us keep a more accurate, thorough, and entertaining history for our ward. And I hope every ward member will participate, by reading the blog and contributing to it. Check out the next post for more information on how to do that.
